Hugh Laurie in Prague on July 26th and 27th

We all know Hugh Laurie from Dr. House, but not many of us know him as a jazzman. Well, it is about to change, because Hugh Laurie will come to Prague to perform with his Copper Bottom Band.

The Copper Bottom Band concerts will be in Prague Congress Centre on July 26th and 27th, so if you want to be there, you better get ready, because those concerts are just around the corner. The concerts will start at 20.00 on both evenings. System of a Down concert in Prague 2013

14 August 2013 is the day of returns in Prague, because not only a legendary band will give return concert, but the place, where it will happen, is a return festival. This is the Austrian organized Aerodrome festival, and the band is the System of a Down!

Anno the Aerodrome’s place was near to Wiener Neustadt, it was a giant festival with rock legends, but unfortunately after 2 years the organizers had to end this project. But the festival will return in another country, but still with the great names.

It is interesting that the System of a Down retreated in 2006 too, and now they will give a concert during they return tour on a returned festival, what retreated and returned in the same year as the rock band.
The band formed in 1994 and the members are Armenian descent Americans. Their music is very colorful, but they always use a typical style mix in their music. They are famous about their lyrics, which are free-spoken and they are usually about serious social and political problems. The band’s real penetration was in 2001, when they released the album Toxicity, what was a huge success.

If you are fan of rock music too, do not miss this concert, even you should stay on both two days of the festival, because besides the System of a Down, there will be other famous bands too, for example the NOFX or the Flogging Molly. Have fun!

Black Sabbath concert in Prague 2013

If you want to see a real, hilarious heavy metal concert, here is your time, because the Black Sabbath will go to tour with almost all the original members. The Birmingham gentlemen will give an unforgettable concert on 7 December 2013 in Prague, in the Ocelarska 460/2.

More good news that Ozzy and the band reunited, AND released a new album too. The album’s title is 13 and they will publicize it in this year in Europe. Maybe you haven’t heard, but the band’s original name was Earth, but there were already a band with the same name, so they changed it to the legendary Black Sabbath. The secret of their success was that they were other than every band, because in that time the popular music was the blue-rock and the beat. In contrast, the played deeper sounds and harder music with dark, occultist lyrics, but actually their opinion was they are all positive and happy people. The song writer usually was Geezer Butler, who was influenced by Dennis Wheatly’s novels about black magic.

The place is special too on 7 December, because nowadays more and more young people visit Prague to have a great party and their opinion is positive about the city, the tasty Czech beers and the famous Absinthe. This will be the perfect place for a Black Sabbath concert! Have a great time!

Carlos Augusto Alves Santana was born in 1947 in Mexico. He started playing on guitar when he was 15 and the dreams became true shortly, because in 1957, when the family moved to California, he became a member of a band, the Azteca, in San Francisco. A few years later almost the whole world met his name with the Santana Blues Band. Santana shakes the bursting Latin culture with the rock, but the guitarist always tries to make newer his music.

The calendar shows the summer is here but the weather doesn’t show the same always. Nevertheless, we don’t have bad mood, because there are loads of great programs in whole Europe.

Alicia Augello Cook was born in New York in 25 January 1981. The public know better her “nom de plume”, Alicia Keys. Besides she is a talented and popular R&B and soul singer, she is a famous song writer too. She sold millions albums in the whole world, and she won several awards, for example eleven Grammy Awards, seventeen Billboard Music Awards and three American Music Awards. The amazing voiced singer’s voice includes three octaves. Alicia Keys’ exemplar is Stevie Wonder.

Nickelback Prague 2013People know so many things about the capital of Czech Republic, the beautiful Prague. This city is not only one of the most outstanding cultural centers in the Middle-Europe, but here you can find the best parties too. The famous Czech beers, the national drink the Absinthe and lots of other interesting things welcome the visitors, especially those who visit the Czech capital at 7 November 2013, because the famous Canadian rock band, the Nickelback will concert here on that day.

I am sure; almost everybody knows the name of this group. The band was founded in 1995 in Canada, and it has a Grammy Award nomination. The founded members were Chad Kroeger, who sings and guitars, Mike Kroeger, the bass guitar player, Ryan Peake, the other guitarist and vocalist and the past drummer, Brandon Kroeger. Their new drummer is Daniel Adair since 2005.

The band released several albums in the last almost 20 years. Their last important milestone was the Greatest Hits double album in 2012. The band is going to start a worldwide tour from this year autumn, because their fans don’t have to listening them only from headphones, but in live. During the tour the boys will travel to Europe too, and one station here will be the Czech capital, Prague at 7 November 2013 in the O2 Arena.

Dishes in the Monarchy exhibition at the National Museum

If you one of the lucky people, who can spend some days in the wonderful capital of Czech Republic, Prague, you would see lauds of fantastic buildings, attractions and exhibitions. Prague is one of the greatest cultural centers in Europe.

Tourists usually visit the National Museum here, what is the main museum institution in Czech Republic. The main building has the name, National Museum too. Here there are always fantastic permanent and temporary exhibitions.

This exhibition presents the phenomenon of food – the preparation, processing and consumption of food and drink in the second half of the 19th century, focusing particularly on eating habits, table settings, dining room decorations, and cutlery – and of course a number of period recipes.
