Beer Festival 2015The Czech Beer Festival is coming to Prague again, and in 2015 the festival will be arranged from May 7th until May 23rd. During these 17 days you will be able to gain thorough knowledge about the Czech beers, and you will be able to taste more than 100 different kinds of them.

The Beer Festival in 2015 will be arranged in the Letna Park, which is a bit outside the city center, but it is absolutely worth the ride. There is a small entrance fee to the festival, but once on the inside you can sit down at one of more than 4000 chairs in the area, you can listen to live music and of course taste the most famous, and the not so famous Czech beers.

Andre Rieu concert in Prague

Andre RieuAndre Rieu is a Dutch conductor and violinist and he is best known for forming the waltz-playing Johann Strauss Orchestra.

They turned classical and waltz music into a world wide known music act as successful and popular as some of the biggest pop and rock music acts. He was interested in music from an early age and he was only five when he started studying the violin. Later he studied at the Music Academy in Brussels. In 1978 he formed the Johann Strauss Orchestra and his own company. In the beginning the Orchestra only included 12 musicians, but nowadays this number is between 60-150 members.

Andre Rieu and his world wide known Johann Strauss Orchestra are on tour this year. During the tour they will visit several countries and cities all around the world. The name of their tour is “Eine Nacht in Venedig”. The visitors will have the chance to have an unforgettable and colorful show by Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. They will perform in different European countries such as Poland, Ireland, the Netherlands, France, Germany and in the Czech Republic as well. In Czech Republic the concert will be held in Prague at the O2 Arena on Friday 22nd May 2015. Tickets for the concert are already available.

Sting and Paul Simon concert in Prague

StingSting and Paul Simon are on tour together this year and they are performing in Europe too. Sting is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor. He is best known as the lead singer of The Police and for his single career. Sting wrote most of the songs for the band and as a member of the band he became one of the world’s best selling musicians. Sting was nominated and received several awards during his solo career and with The Police as well. Paul Simon is an American singer and songwriter and he is best known from the duo Simon and Garfunkel. The duo was formed in 1964 with Art Garfunkel. Paul Simon wrote most of the songs including The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water which were ranked number one on several charts. After the duo broke up Paul Simon started his solo career and the following years he released three albums.

Sting and Paul Simon’s On Stage Together tour will visit several countries and cities during this year and in 2015. They started their tour in North-America and Australia and they will be on stage in Europe. In Europe they will give concerts in different countries and cities such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, France and in the Czech Republic too. 17th Swing Music Festival in Prague

Grace KellyThe 17th Swing Music Festival takes place in the capital of the Czech Republic in the centre of Prague. The music festival attracts more people every year from all around the world and in this year the biggest star of the music festival will be Grace Kelly the 22 year old American saxophonist, singer, lyricist, band leader and composer.

She will open and perform the first night of the 17th Swing Music Festival this year. She is truly a unique musician. She started her musician career in an early age when she wrote her first song at the age of 7. Grace Kelly released her first album when she was only 12 years old and as a band leader she performed over 600 concerts all over the world. She was nominated and received multiple awards during her life such as ASCAP Composer Award, Boston Music Awards and so on.

At the Swing Music Festival after the performance of Grace Kelly & Quintet the Czech Bohemian Big Band will entertain the guests. The Bohemian Big Band is a classic big band including five saxophones, four trumpets and four trombones. It was formed in 1985 and it is mostly focused on swing music from the golden period. The second day of the festival will continue with the performances of Ondrej Havelka & Melody Markers who will focus on the swing music of the early thirties and forties. After them the festival will end with the performance of the Swing Quintet Praha and guest star Eva Pilarova.

The 17th Swing Music Festival will take place in Praha from 13th November until 14th November 2014. A two day ticket for the concert is 1300 Czech crowns.

Katy Perry concert in Prague

Katy PerryKaty Perry is an American singer, songwriter and actress. In her early age she was part of a gospel choir and she released her first debut studio album Katy Hudson in 2001. February 23rd in 2015 she will come to Prague.

The following year she moved to Los Angeles to work on her career. She had her first breakthrough in the music world in 2008 when she released her single I Kissed The Girl from her second album the One of the Boys. After the big breakthrough in 2008 she came out with her third album Teenage Dream in 2010, the singles from the third album California Gurls and Teenage Dream brought her ultimate success and fame in her career.Later she came out with other number one singles Firework, E.T. and Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) that were on the top of the charts. Her last album Prism came out last year in 2013. It includes two number one hits from the album Roar and Dark Horse.

Katy Perry is on tour this year and she is performing in several cities and countries all over the world. She is supporting her latest album Prism which came out in the end of 2013. That was her fourth studio album and it released a couple of number one singles such as Roar. The Prismatic World Tour is her third concert tour in her career. She started her concert tour in Northern Ireland 7th May in 2014 and she will visit North America, Australia and Europe later this year. She will perform in most of the European countries such as Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic as well. Katy Perry will be on stage in Prague the capital of the Czech Republic on Monday 23rd February in 2015. The concert will be held at the O2 Arena. Tickets for the concert are already available.

Antonín Dvorák and Trains – Prague exhibition

Antonín DvorákAntonin Dvorák was a Czech composer who was born in 1841 and he died in 1904. He was really fascinated by trains and he once said: “I would give all my symphonies for inventing the locomotive”.

He was really amused by trains from a really early age and as a kid in his hometown Nelahozeves he observed the construction of the first railway between Prague and Dresden. Later as an adult he used to spend time at the railway station of Prague having conversations and discussing with the engine-drivers or just simply watch the life of the train station. Around 1892 he moved to New York and he was the director of the National Conservatory of Music.

During these years he lived in New York and his interest in trains was replaced by transoceanic steamships. The exhibition Antonín Dvorák and trains will let the visitors to have a look into the passion of Dvorák with trains and railways. The exhibition shows the development of the railway through the Czech Republic through the eyes of the famous composer. The manuscript of Antonín Dvorák popular Humoresque will be shown at the exhibition as well. The exhibition will take place at Antonín Dvorák Museum in Prague. It will be on display from 21st March 2014 until 3rd March 2015.

Kyle Minogue 2Kylie Minogue is an Australian singer, songwriter and actress. In the beginning of her career she started as a child actress on the Australian television. She was playing in a soup opera, Neighbours.

Kylie started her musician career in 1987. During her career she was nominated and she received several awards including a Grammy Award, Brit Awards and multiple ARIA awards as well. Her first single was The Loco-Motion which was a number one hit in Australia and became one of the highest-selling singles in the country. After the success of her first single she released her first debut album Kylie in 1988. Through the years she came out with several other albums and she released her latest album Kiss Me Once in 2014.

Kylie Minogue is on tour this year until 2015. She will perform in many countries and cities during her tour. Kylie is supporting her latest album the Kiss Me Once which came out this year, 2014. This is her 13th concert tour which starts from September 2014 to March 2015. She will give concerts in Australia and in Europe as well. Chris Rea concert in Prague

Christopher Anton Rea better known by his stage name Chris Rea is an English singer and songwriter. He is well known by his husky vocals and side guitar playing. In October he will come to Prague!

He was one of the most popular UK singers, songwriters in the late 1980s. Rea sold over 30 million albums worldwide until 2009. He is best known for his song Fool ( If You Think It’s Over) which he released in 1978. The single was ranked number one by several American music charts. He was always successful in the USA but his biggest breakthrough in Europe was after releasing The Road to Hell in 1989. He is naturally left handed and he learned to play the guitar with his right hand. He was really inspired by the music of Joe Walsh and Ry Cooder.

Chris Rea is on tour now and he is visiting several countries and many cities during his tour. He will perform only in Europe during his tour and he will be on stage in countries such as Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Ireland and in the Czech Republic as well. He will give multiple concerts in Germany and in the UK. In Czech Republic the concert will take place in Prague. Chris Rea will perform at O2 Arena on Thursday 30th October 2014. Godmother Death – Exhibition in Prague

Godmother DeathThis exhibition will show death to the visitors through the paintings and prints, through several painters and artists point of view from different ages.

The visitors will have the chance to see the human mortality as it is seen through the eyes of the artists, showing it in a unique and different way. The museum offers a cycle of exhibitions at one of the most popular topics in the whole world. The exhibition opens with the Godmother Death presents death in a new way. Death is one of the most influential subjects of literature, music, drama, film and fine art as well. The paintings and artworks at the exhibition mostly were created over the a millennium and most of them were painted in the territory of Bohemia and Moravia. Visitors can see a mixture of the perspectives on death from different cultures and their transformation during the years. At the exhibition will be shown several unique objects such as antique prints, autograph scores and illustrations. The artworks at the exhibition will cover the art of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The exhibition will be in Prague at the Czech Museum of Music. The exhibition will open its gates for the visitors from 18th June 2014 until 23rd February in 2015.

Lady Gaga concert in Prague

Lady GaGaLady Gaga is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She was raised in Manhattan, she performed in theatre and she was part of the high school plays and later she studied at CAP21 otherwise known as Collaborative Arts Project 21.

She started her musician career in a rock band and after leaving the band she worked as a songwriter for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. She got worldwide known with her debut album The Fame in 2008. The album released some really popular songs such as Just Dance and Poker Face which brought her ultimate success and fame. One year later she came up with follow-up EP The Fame Monster, which included some successful singles Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro. Her next album Born This Way was released in 2011 and her number one single from the album was Born This Way. Her third album was Artpop which she released in 2013.

Lady Gaga is on tour with her latest album Artpop. This is her fourth concert tour in her career. The name of her tour is ArtRave: The Artpop Ball. She is performing in several countries all over the world from USA to Australia. Lady Gaga will be on stage in multiple European countries such as Germany, Norway, Belgium, Portugal, Spain and Czech Republic. In Czech Republic the concert will be in Prague at O2 Arena.
